A confirmed experience of a photo retouched in ink. Successful result, to my great surprise (I am not a photographer). Some who have seen it have asked me to sell it to them. However, I keep it under control, so that it inspires me new compositions on this concept.
Lyhl
Sanctuary
Under columns of basalt
in the dark magma,
like the pious ones,
stands the arc of light.
The earth splits and weaves.
Arise and crackle with lightning zebra,
nerves alive from heaven to earth, which hold
the edges of giant cracks
leading to the unknowable.
Minéral
Yann Foucaud, Lyhl, draws inspiration from the sources of mythologies that correspond to his tastes and conceptions of the world. His imagination is enriched by readings of the wonderful and the fantastic.
For him, the mineral world is lively and sensitive. He exchanges and converses with us. If we know how to contemplate him and listen to him, he makes us enter into communication with the invisible and the over-dimensional. And he constantly reminds us that the world is foolish and runs to its loss if we do not respect the great laws that govern the universe.
In his works, the worlds of the mineral, the aquatic and the maritime are formed by elements that wrap and take place in movements of cosmic conceptions and births: it is both calm and violent. Sometimes, in the interstices of them appear forms of captation enchanting, seductive and treacherous, for the man of power and money thus induces them.
It is always done with a balance of shapes, subtle games of light with, either the fine use of camaracterie, or a rich palette of colors.
All this is achieved through the use of several techniques, sometimes for the same work. Because Lyhl knows how to play all kinds of means of expression, even the most current ones.
The major themes it addresses are developed in the form of variations that develop a thought rich with imaginaries.
