Painting depicting facial features of what looks like Amy Winehouse, Thing is while I am painting, I just get into a certain state of mind that is very similar to a state of trance. I can never predict, plan or even know what I will paint, sometimes I start with a painting but I don't finish it only after a year or so.
My works are literally pieces of my soul.
Here, I have just prepared a piece of fabric and primed it with Gesso, two layers to be precise. It's not stretched, but It has been fit to a piece of wood using duct tape in order to avoid wrinkles.
The painting is done, finished, varnished and already hanging in my studio.

In every part of this painting there's an idea, a hint that drives you to think about something, remember a memory, go to a souvenir ..

The portrait captures the essence of a woman exuding quiet strength and enigmatic beauty. Her face, framed by cascading locks of dark, wavy hair, is softly lit, giving her an almost ethereal glow. Her eyes are deep and reflective, as though they hold untold stories, gazing slightly off-center, lost in thought.

Her lips are gently parted, as if caught mid-breath, hinting at a fleeting emotion—perhaps a secret, a longing, or a quiet determination. The background is a wash of muted tones, contrasting with the vibrancy of her complexion, making her the undeniable focal point.

A subtle play of light and shadow dances across her features, emphasizing the delicate curve of her cheekbones and the subtle arch of her brow. Her clothing is understated, with soft textures and flowing lines, allowing her face and expression to remain the centerpiece of the composition.

This painting is not just a depiction of a woman; it feels like a window into her soul, inviting the viewer to ponder the mystery of her inner world.

Hello! I am a self-taught painter, though I like to think of myself as a natural-born artist. Painting runs in my blood—my father and grandfather were both painters, so art has always been a part of my world.
