Butterflies going out a poetry book

This sculpture is my interpretation of this proverb, I particularly like .... : "A book is like a garden carried in the pocket"
My idea is to transmit visually all that may contain a book ... This is not a simple object, but a small world that you can take away anywhere, and where you can take refuge ...

The butterflies are attached to golden lightweight iron, by this way, the slightest current of air gives life to butterflies... And this book, which was a simple object, becomes a living world....

For lovers of reading and beautiful objects.

Each sculpture is a unique piece, made ​​from a spanish book.
I use old books, that books sellers friends give to me: I use book that nobody is going to read yet... Maybe because some sheets are broken, maybe because this book is the part II and the part I is lost, maybe because the content is totally past...
So I try to give them another life with my scissors !!

Je récupère de vieux livres, des livres en "fin de vie utile" comme on dit: un Tome II sans Tome I, des livres abîmés, des livres dont le contenu n'a plus d'intérêt aujourd'hui... Puis je me mets au travail.... J'en suis convaincue: les livres vivent.
